We are Lily Abigail and Alma Ruth, resident holy gerbils of Forton Vicarage.



Our first full day in the Parish was the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 8th December 2008.
As you can see, the Vicar prepared our tank in the spirit of Advent, giving us a lovely backdrop of the stable at Bethlehem. Apparently this was donated for our use by the Church Urban Fund, though secretly we suspect the Vicar might have nicked it from the Parish.
That bright light you can see in the photo is not, however, the Star of Bethlehem. It is fact the flash from the Vicar’s camera. Clearly she needs a few lessons in Gerbil photography.

Well, the Vicar has finally worked out how to use YouTube. She needs a few lessons in keeping the camera still, but here we are in glorious almost-technicolour:
